MY ROLE
As a Character Surfacing Lead, I spearhead the development of intricate materials and procedural textures, crafting the foundational visual language for the film's characters. My role involves not only the technical mastery of advanced surfacing techniques but also guiding and mentoring a talented team to realize the unique and outstanding aesthetic vision for each character, ensuring their visual fidelity and emotional depth on screen.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Swapped is directed by Nathan Greno (Tangled) and produced by John Lasseter, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Mary Ellen Bauder Andrews. It features a screenplay by John Whittington, Christian Magalhaes, and Robert Snow from a story by those three, plus Adam Karp and Nathan Greno.
The film centers on an unlikely partnership between two natural enemies of The Valley: a small woodland creature and a majestic bird who suddenly switch bodies. Forced to navigate their world from entirely new vantage points, the duo must work together to survive a chaotic adventure that challenges both their instincts and their understanding of one another. The release describes the film as a buddy comedy set against a wild, unpredictable environment.
