Tasked with delivering absolute photorealism, I spearheaded the comprehensive surfacing, lighting, and compositing of a complex CGI crab. The client's high-fidelity requirements demanded meticulous attention to organic detail, prompting the development of sophisticated shaders for the crab's shell. A critical focus was placed on subsurface scattering, a technique pivotal in accurately simulating how light interacts with and diffuses through the shell's translucent layers, thereby achieving an authentic, lifelike depth and visual softness. This detailed approach ensured the creature's seamless integration and visual believability within the final composite.

This commercial for Santander Bank masterfully blends humor with a subtle message of security and quick action, centered around an unexpected protagonist: a mischievous, yet undeniably charming, little crab. The narrative unfolds as our main character finds their Santander card playfully pilfered by the scuttling crustacean. The spot highlights the swift and seamless capabilities of Santander's card management features, demonstrating how easily a "stolen" card can be secured or replaced, even in the most whimsical of predicaments.
